Can anyone tell me that if I buy Ugg Boots should they be a size smaller than I normally wear? If so, how tight should the boots actually be on you when you first buy them new?

I have a brand new pair of Ugg Boots and I’ve sprayed them with a suede weather proofer, but I was caught in an absolute downpour. These boots were a beautiful soft tan suede and are now rough, dry, and a really bad sandy color.
